Who are the women who support the health and resilience of Portuguese families? They are the ‘Women of Hope’, who love, care for, and fight for a more equal future. Women featured in this article by Zaida Charepe, associate professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing, Portuguese Catholic University.

If we conducted a public survey, which women would be described as ‘Hope’? All of us! In Portugal, women have historically been the invisible foundation that sustains the health and resilience of families. 

From the historical context of caregivers to agents of change! The daily challenges of the world and those that are part of the family microsystem share comorbidities. Every woman's rights to a context that promotes care and the rights to a voice in the collective are part of humanity's heritage. I would say that every woman has a Pandora's box, which elevates hope to a universal experience.
