Professor Maria de Lurdes Martins, Ph.D., published an article in the “Caderno País Positivo” section of the weekly newspaper *Semanário Sol*, in the April 2026 issue, titled “Teaching Ethics and Professional Conduct in Nursing—The Foundation of Safe and Humanized Care.”

In the article, the author highlights the importance of teaching ethics and deontology as a fundamental basis for providing safe and humanized nursing care.

Lurdes Martins is a Professor of Nursing at the School of Nursing of the Faculty of Health Sciences and at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
