Prof. Silvia Caldeira, faculty member of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing and the School of Nursing (Lisbon), has published an article entitled “The Human Value of Nursing” in ATUA, the magazine of the Northern Regional Section of the Portuguese Order of Nurses.

The article reflects on the human dimension of the nursing profession alongside its scientific foundations, highlighting care, proximity, and the therapeutic relationship as essential pillars of clinical practice. It also reinforces nurses’ responsibility in promoting person-centred healthcare.
