The Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing (FCSE) and the School of Nursing (Lisbon) at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) welcomed, on October 12 and 13, Prof. Eduarda Ribeiro dos Santos, Ph.D., from the Albert Einstein Israeli Faculty of Health Sciences in Brazil, as part of a technical visit aimed at sharing experiences and developing opportunities for academic and scientific collaboration in the field of nursing.

The professor was welcomed by Prof. Amélia Simões Figueiredo, Ph.D., Director of the School of Nursing (Lisbon), by Prof. Dr. Lurdes Martins, Coordinator of International Relations, by Prof. Dr. Sílvia Caldeira, Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Nursing, and by Prof. Dr. Clara Roquette Viana, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Program in Nursing.

The main objectives of the visit were to learn about teaching, learning, and assessment practices, as well as nursing education strategies geared toward the National Health System, with a special focus on community-based interventions, and to explore educational technologies and innovative methodologies applied to nursing education.

The program also includes the sharing of research projects and the identification of potential areas for scientific collaboration, with a view to developing multicenter studies and establishing future academic partnerships between the two institutions.
