The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) has created an escape room dedicated to Neuroscience, which combines reasoning, dexterity and teamwork. The new space is open to the public upon registration.
“The Brain Unlocked” is the theme of the new space, whose starting point is the disappearance of a scientist from the Catholic University. In a setting alluding to Neuroscience, the visitors' mission is to discover the encrypted message about the existence of a secret laboratory and the clues that lead to its whereabouts, overcoming different challenges as a team.
Inspired by the first Systems and Cognitive Neuroscience degree in Portugal, whose first academic year begins in September, “this initiative is designed to provide an interactive experience that aims to bring participants closer to the fascinating world of Neuroscience, alert them to its growing applications in different areas of knowledge and awaken them to scientific discovery,” explains the coordinator of the new degree, Filipa Ribeiro, in a statement.
