The team of researchers at FCSE-UCP's NICE_Lab (CIIS) has finished testing the first Contemporary Dictionary of LGP in schools. This application was only possible with the collaboration of the Jacob Rodrigues Pereira Institute of Casa Pia (Lisbon) and Agrupamento de Terra de Laurus (Seixal) and, of course, all the deaf 1st cycle students and their teachers.
The development of the first Contemporary Dictionary of Portuguese Sign Language is part of the project “Contemporary Dictionary of Portuguese Sign Language: from the APP to the classroom”, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (2022.06596.PTDC) and coordinated by researchers Paulo Vaz de Carvalho, Hugo Nicolau and Joana Rato. This project is an institutional partnership between the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (NICE_Lab/ CIIS, UCP) and the Instituto Superior Técnico (ITI/LARSyS, IST-ID).
