The 7th edition of the Advanced Training in Assistive Technologies for Inclusion, resulting from the partnership between FCSE-UCP and the MEO Foundation, kicked off on November 22, 2025.

The opening ceremony was attended by Daniel Freitas, representing the MEO Foundation, and Prof. Joana Rato, representing the FCSE-UCP School of Postgraduate and Advanced Training, who welcomed the new trainees, bringing the total number of professionals benefiting from this specialized training to 200.

This was followed by a panel of conferences that enriched the start of this training. Professor Alexandre Castro Caldas (Professor of Neurology, FM-UCP) began by clarifying the specifics of neuroplasticity and the necessary debate about the future with technology. Next, Dr. Joana Gomes, from the Directorate-General for Education, shared inclusion practices developed with the support of the Ministry of Education and clarified the operational procedure regarding technical aids.

This training is scientifically coordinated by Professor Joana Rato (FCSE-UCP) and Dr. Luís Azevedo (Anditec) and is carried out with the financial support of the Meo Foundation.
