Closing Session of the 7th Edition of the Advanced Training Course on Assistive Technologies for Inclusion

The 7th edition of the Advanced Training Course in Assistive Technologies for Inclusion concluded on June 27, with the presentation and discussion of the final projects developed by the 30 participants—including special education teachers and professionals in the fields of rehabilitation, such as speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists—who attended the course over the past eight months.

The closing session was attended by Dr. Joana Rato, coordinator of the FCSE Graduate School of Advanced Training; Dr. Daniel Freitas, representing the MEO Foundation; and Luís Azevedo, coordinator of this Advanced Training program.

Recognized as one of the leading drivers of technological solutions for communication accessibility in Portugal, the MEO Foundation has already supported seven editions of the Advanced Training in Assistive Technologies for Inclusion, bringing the total number of professionals trained in this field to over 200.

Conducted under the scientific coordination of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing at the Portuguese Catholic University, this course represents a key opportunity for education and rehabilitation professionals to consolidate their knowledge of various technological solutions for communication support, which are essential for facilitating interventions with people who have complex communication needs.
