Tuesday, February 24, 2026 - 16:35
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing at the Portuguese Catholic University held the One-Day Winter School for the Doctorate in Nursing, an initiative that brought together 56 doctoral students for a day dedicated to scientific sharing and international cooperation.

The initiative was developed in partnership with Boston College and was supported by the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD), through the UP Higher Education Program 2025-2026, as part of the LINK – Leadership in Nursing Knowledge Exchange project.

The scientific program included the participation of Professor Victor Petreca, from Boston College, as well as Professor Jaqueline Fawcett, internationally recognized for her contribution to the theoretical development of nursing science.

This Winter School is part of a broader strategy of collaboration between the Portuguese Catholic University and Boston College, which provides for the mobility of teachers and students, as well as the joint promotion of academic and scientific activities.

This initiative is a significant milestone in the consolidation of international collaboration, which will continue with other activities such as participation in ISNR, to be held at UCP, Foz campus, Porto, on June 18 and 19.
