Between October 27 and 31, 2025, the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing (Lisbon) of the Portuguese Catholic University had the pleasure of welcoming four professors as part of research development in the field of spirituality and health in pediatrics.
This visit was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sílvia Caldeira and Prof. Dr. Joana Romeiro, continuing the collaboration with the Spirit in Health project of the Interdisciplinary Health Research Center (CIIS).
During their stay, professors Aliza Damsma Bakker and Annemiek de Jonge (Viaa University, Netherlands), Christina Prinds (University of Southern Denmark and University Hospital of Southern Denmark, Denmark), and Dorte Toudal Viftrup (University of Southern Denmark, Denmark) participated in work meetings and academic exchanges, promoting joint reflection on the future paths of research in this emerging area.
The visit strengthened international and interdisciplinary collaboration between European research teams and underscored the Portuguese Catholic University's commitment to promoting scientific excellence and person-centered care through the integration of the spiritual dimension into pediatric health.
