Liliana Roldão, a PhD student in Nursing at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing of the Portuguese Catholic University, took part in the Summer School of the European Academy for Nursing Science in Barcelona between July 7 and 11, 2025, as part of a short-term mobility program.
The participation was part of a partnership between EANS and Pompeu Fabra University, providing doctoral students in the field of Nursing with an immersive experience of learning, collaboration and scientific development in an international environment.
"Participating in EANS has been one of the most remarkable experiences of my journey as a PhD student in Nursing. In addition to the scientific knowledge that is acquired, EANS promotes the opportunity to share ideas, challenges and achievements with colleagues from all over Europe, creating a safe space for learning and mutual inspiration," shares Liliana Roldão.
"More than an academic network, EANS is a space for connection, where you share the same desire to transform and expand nursing care through science. This experience has been essential in opening up horizons and consolidating my identity as a researcher."
This short-term mobility is part of the strategic objectives of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing of the Portuguese Catholic University, which is committed to the internationalization of advanced training in Nursing, promoting experiences of scientific and cultural exchange with leading European institutions.
