Have you always wanted to learn more about our brain but never found a fun way to do it? Don’t worry—MAGG might have the solution. To celebrate International Brain Awareness Week, which ran through Friday, March 20, the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing at the Portuguese Catholic University wanted to turn science into fun, and recently launched an activity that’s sure to be the talk of the town: The Brain Unlocked, an escape room inspired by the world of neuroscience.

And it promises not to be one of those boring escape rooms: it all begins with the disappearance of a scientist, and all participants are challenged to embark on an extraordinary scientific investigation. “Last year we launched a bachelor’s degree in systems and cognitive neuroscience, which is much more comprehensive, and we thought this would be a fun way to promote neuroscience in general, but especially this field and this new program,” Professor Filipa Ribeiro began by telling MAGG.
