Professor Sílvia Caldeira, lecturer at the Faculty of Health and Education Sciences (FCSE), participated in the 11th Mental Health and Psychiatry Conference, under the theme “Innovation and care: challenges in contemporary mental health,” which took place on October 9 and 10, at the São João de Deus Institute in Funchal.

The professor took part in the round table discussion on “Spirituality and Health,” where the implications of the spiritual dimension in the context of mental health and contemporary clinical practice were debated.

During the session, the leadership work of the Spirit in Health group, coordinated by Prof. Sílvia Caldeira, was recognized. The group's objective is to develop knowledge about spirituality and health and promote its integration into clinical care, with a view to providing comprehensive and humanized care.
