This year's edition of the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation Summer School took place in Peniche and brought together 60 students from across the country to reflect on the challenges of Artificial Intelligence and the digital age.
Among the guests invited to stimulate debate was Prof. Joana Rato, a lecturer at the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing at UCP, who emphasized the importance of understanding the cognitive impacts of technology use, challenging young people to think about the benefits and risks of using digital devices in their everyday school and personal lives, particularly in terms of daily attention management. The session also featured psychiatrist Gustavo Jesus and clinical and health psychologist Ivone Patrão, and was moderated by journalist Marta Amaral, co-author of the podcast O Nosso Olhar Para Ti (Our View of You).
