In this course students will acquire or recover fundamental knowledge of chemistry and physics required for the understanding of multiple biological processes relevant to neuroscience, as well as knowledge required for understanding techniques of stimulation, registration, and imaging of the nervous system function.

Topics such as the composition and properties of matter, chemical bonds, chemical reactions, basic acid balance and PH, electrochemistry, electromotor force, and the Nernst equation will receive additional attention. Magnetism and electricity. Waves and Light. Atomic and nuclear physics; radioactivity; radioactive decay; nuclear magnetic resonance.
