Active participation in lectures, practical laboratory classes, seminars, and the creation of a mind map, combined with individual and team learning, will promote a comprehensive and practical understanding of the biochemical processes, particularly in the brain.
Students are expected to be able to:
- Understand the structures of key compounds.
- Explore the main metabolic processes.
- Learn about the cells in the nervous system and the blood-brain barrier.
- Understand the synthesis of neurotransmitters, metabolic impacts on the nervous system, and the high energy demand.
- Develop practical skills in laboratory techniques.
- Cultivate critical thinking skills to evaluate experimental design, results, and scientific literature in the field of biochemistry.
- Develop effective communication skills to convey biochemical concepts, experimental findings, and interpretations to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
