The FCSE and the School of Nursing (Lisbon) were represented in different parts of the country as part of the International Nurses' Day celebrations, with teachers taking part in scientific and institutional events dedicated to nursing.

Prof. Clara Roquette Viana was invited to the 2nd Nursing Research Seminar - From Evidence to Care: Nursing that Transforms, in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Representing the Hope2Care research group at the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research, she gave the opening lecture on nursing research. She spoke at the Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital, reinforcing the link between scientific research and transformative clinical practice.

Prof. Patrícia Pontífice de Sousa was also present on International Nurses' Day, as a guest speaker at the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo, in Beja, at the invitation of its Director. The professor took part in the conference as part of the celebrations "Our nurses. Caring for nurses strengthens economies“, with a paper entitled ”Contemporary Challenges: Nursing as the protagonist of comforting care", contributing to the reflection and appreciation of the profession in a regional context.

The participation of these professors in these initiatives highlights the role of our academy in promoting knowledge, valuing the profession and connecting with the different communities in the health system.
