NICE_Lab is pleased to present another NICE_Talks session, which will take place on March 13 at 2:30 p.m. in Room 422 (Floor 2 of the Library Building) and Online.

Prof. Dr. Guilherme Moura will present a paper entitled “Mathematical Anxiety and the Heart-Brain Connection: Evidence from Research in Brazil”.

Lecturer: Prof. Dr. Guilherme Moura (Federal University of Pará)
Guilherme Moura. Professor at the Federal University of Pará. Graduated in Mathematics with a master's and doctorate in Science and Mathematics Education. Post-doctorate in progress at the Federal University of Santa Catarina with an institutional grant from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel of the Brazilian Ministry of Education. Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education (PPGECM/UFPA). Member of the Latin American Postgraduate Network in Education (REDPEL) and leader of the NeuroEducação Matemática group. She researches topics related to cognitive, emotional and motivational factors in teaching and learning, particularly those associated with mathematical anxiety, mathematical metacognition, neurofeedback, psychophysiology applied to education, neurovisceral integration and the training of teachers who teach mathematics. His research is associated with the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG 3 (Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education), as well as SDG 10 (Reducing Inequalities).
NICE_Talks are a space dedicated to our members, doctoral and master's students that promotes the sharing of ideas and knowledge. These meetings bring together guests specialized in different areas of research aligned with the interests of the laboratory, promoting enriching discussions and new opportunities for collaboration.
