This UC aims to understand the relationship between the endocrine system and the nervous system and how they both act on behavior.
Theoretical, expository classes will be combined with theoretical-practical classes where scientific articles will be analyzed with practical examples of the syllabus, and an experimental project will be carried out (e.g., to examine the cortisol response to environments with different levels of stress, measured through saliva with non-invasive kits).
At the end of the semester, students must be familiar with the syllabus and reading literature, and must have developed the ability to design experiments, to collect, manage and analyze data, and to present and discuss their results.
