The Portuguese Catholic University strengthens its international presence with the selection of two projects by the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD), under the UP – Higher Education 2026 Program. Each project can receive up to €30,000 in funding and promises to create new opportunities for academic mobility and scientific cooperation, consolidating the Catholic University's prestige in the global higher education landscape. One project was proposed by the Faculty of Human Sciences: Dual Degree in Emerging Media and Digital Transformation, in collaboration with the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University (USA).

The LINK – Leadership in Nursing Knowledge Exchange project is the result of a strategic partnership between the Faculty of Health Sciences and Nursing (Lisbon - Porto) and Boston College (USA). The aim is to strengthen international cooperation in doctoral education in Nursing through activities such as joint curriculum development, faculty and student mobility, intensive training sessions (“Winter” and “Summer School”), co-supervision of doctoral students, and scientific production.

At the same time, a Global Nursing Innovation Lab will be created, which will serve as a space for innovation and collaborative research, consolidating UCP's position as a European reference in doctoral training in Nursing. This project is aligned with the internationalization strategy of Católica and SACRU (Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities).

With these two projects, the Portuguese Catholic University reinforces its international presence, strengthens strategic ties with leading institutions in the US, and promotes mobility, cross-cutting skills, and scientific cooperation. This recognition reflects the Universidade Católica commitment to excellence and innovation in global higher education.
